Spring lock nut, M10 used on landing gears

This is a galvanized, spring-loaded, self-locking hex nut in M10 size, manufactured to the SSB 003 specification with an FK4 flat design and a 17 mm wrench size.
It is used on the landing gear of nearly all Schempp-Hirth gliders, for the shock absorber and/or the drag strut.

Landing gear retraction lever
This is part, with the fork, of the landing gear retraction system of the Discus, Discus-2, Ventus and Ventus-2 (except for the Ventus-2cxa and for all the fuselages "a"). It is also used for the Nimbus-2, -3 and -4 single seater and for the mini-Nimbus.
This mechanism also requires a steel bushing and an axle which are sold separately.

This item is part of the landing gear of all the modern Schempp-Hirth single seater, with a landing gear in metall.
Careful: some Ventus c, Ventus-2a, Ventus-2b and Discus-2b with glass fiber undercarriage need another strut. It looks different but if you are not sure of which model you need, please contact Schempp-Hirth Spare Part.
