BWS Electric Winch for all single seaters by Laminar Aerotec
This system is fast, reliable and easy to install in your glider.
The main features are:
- Short cleaning time of approx. 15 seconds per wing (even at high speeds).
- Simultaneous cleaning with both bug wipers possible.
- Three safety features: rope tension sensor, slip clutch and automatic shutdown on overload.
- Tear-resistant Dyneema line (retrieval line).
- Span adjustment (optional, please contact us).
- It is sold here with the mounting type 1, the most versatil one, but a large variety of plates are available for easy and flexible installation.
It is delivered with:
- 2 x BWS electric winches in the box
- 2 x mounting plate no. 1 - Suitable for almost all aircraft and installation positions. Special mounting slides (e.g. for Arcus) are also available.
- Double switch for instrument panel mounting
- Installation kit single seater
- Installation and operating manual

Copper seal ring
This copper seal ring is 10 x 14 x 1,5 , DIN 7603 Form A.
It is used for the fuel line in the Arcus M and the Ventus-3M.
It is also used for the brakes system Tost - Magura that you might have on the Discus-2b, -2c and Ventus-2c.

Red LED for fire warning 10 mm
This LED is blinking in RED. It has been use for gliders with Motor and FES.
A few old FES might have had an 8mm LED, it is not available anymore. You will also need to change the support to the new one (Ref: E11-014). Please contact the spare part team using the online Form.

Flat spring for Janus, Nimbus-2, -3D, -4D flap drive
This tension spring is used to maintain the flap handle on the right position.
On the Janus B and Nimbus-2, it is located near the front seat handle.
Originally, the Janus C, the Nimbus-3D and the Nimbus-4D are using another spring that looks very different (ref B40-2417) and that is located on the back seat cockpit wall. However some gliders have been modified and they are now using this flat spring but near the spar bridge.
