Delivery of the 250th Ventus

This Wednesday, Schempp-Hirth celebrated a significant milestone: the delivery of the 250th Ventus-3.

This occasion was not only seen as a simple business success of our 18- and 15-meter-high performance glider, it was above all a moment of pride and fellowship that brought together the entire team, without whom the production of such a modern, elegant and efficient aircraft would not be possible.

The handover ceremony took place in our final assembly, which was cleared for this special occasion. The entire team, from the engineers to the sales department to all the employees who use their extensive know-how and experience to build such aircraft from scratch, gathered around the Ventus assembled to its final form. It was a great opportunity to recognize the work and dedication of everyone who contributed to this success.

After a speech by our managing directors, Tilo Holighaus and Sascha Costabel, Brigitte Holighaus presented our happy customer, Ward Gysemans from Belgium, with a bouquet of flowers and a copy of her book as a gesture of the appreciation we feel for our customers. Ward's grin was not only infectious, but was also a confirmation to our team that all the effort and dedication that goes into the many hours of work for a product like this has paid off.

Finally, the two managing directors Tilo Holighaus and Sascha Costabel, standing behind the grill, provided everyone with delicious sausages, grilled vegetables and grilled cheese. The passion behind our products was palpable in the convivial atmosphere, both among our happy customers and the entire team.We look to the future with optimism, confident that we will continue to build aircraft with the same passion and dedication that inspire our customers and enable them to enjoy beautiful, interesting and eventful flights.
